Beth's Statement of Faith
- ...that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and
authoritative written Word of God.
- ...there is one God eternally existing in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
- ...that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father,
conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary.
- ...that He was crucified, buried, raised from the dead,
has ascended to heaven, and is today at the right hand of the
Father as the Intercessor.
- ...in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless
life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through
the shedding of His precious blood on the cross, and in His
personal return in power and great glory.
- ...that through the fall of man as recorded in Genesis
all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, that repentance
is commanded and necessary for the forgiveness of sin, that
we are cleansed from sin by faith in the atoning blood of Jesus
Christ, and born again by the Holy Spirit.
- ...in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose
indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life.
- ...in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts
2:4 is given to all believers who ask for it, and that it is
the fulfillment of the promise of Joel 2:28, 29.
- ...that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides
for divine healing of the human body, in answer to believing
prayer. ...in following the example and commandment of Christ
by baptism in water by immersion.
- ...in Holy Communion which symbolizes the broken body,
the shed blood of our Lord, a memorial of His death, and the
promise of His return.
- ...in the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus, to resurrect
the righteous dead, and to catch away the living saints to Him
in the air, which is the blessed hope, and the rapture of the
church at Christ's coming.
- ...in the absolute certainty of the final judgement of
all mankind, when the dead shall be resurrected to stand before
God to receive the reward of their deeds done in the flesh,
eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the
wicked.
- ...that the church is of divine origin, a living organism,
with Christ as the Head, a spiritual body of born again believers
manifesting the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, whose purpose
is to declare the good news of the Gospel to a lost and dying
world, to edify believers, and to worship and bring glory and
honor to the matchless name of Jesus.
